About Brian Shank

Brian Shank, 59, current County Council Chairman, is all about service.

Brian is a graduate of Harbor Creek High School, Class of 1981. He enlisted in the US Army in 1983 and was honorably discharged in 1987. He also attended The Contra Costa Community College Basic Police Academy.

In terms of service to his country, Brian said, "I served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1987. My first MOS/job was photographer. I then enlisted into the California Army National Guard as a 95 B military police officer."

Regarding service to his community, Brian has been serving on the council for over three years, and this is his second consecutive year as Chair. He is a conservative, fiscal steward of hard-earned tax dollars.

Moreover, Brian is also committed to serving his fellow citizens. He volunteers as a fire police officer with the Fairfield Hose Company and assembles wheelchair ramps for disabled veterans.

"We have accomplished many projects on my time on county counsel, We handled the Covid 19 pandemic . We were able to work as a team and dispense the rescue money throughout Erie County with no deficiency’s.
I am very proud to have voted on project resolve and that will help Erie county with job training and secure plenty of good paying jobs with the help of Penn State Behrend. Additionally, We just passed project Neptune that will help keep Lake Erie clean and safe for generations with the help of Gannon University."

I also donate my time to DJ many non profits fundraisers in Erie county.

"I respectfully ask for your vote again to keep me on County Council for another 4 year term as your representative in District 5."
